At La Rosée, there are no ready-made recipes, only unique creations!

We observe your needs, we ask you questions, in order to imagine your future essentials. Then, we develop our formulas hand in hand with our manufacturers to arrive, after hundreds of trials, at the ideal formula that meets our requirements in terms of naturalness, performance, eco-design, and sensoriality.

Formulas taken to the highest level of naturalness

The formulas we develop have a very high degree of naturalness. The average naturalness rate of our range is 98%*, and more than a third of our products are 100% natural-origin.

A healthier cosmetics

In 2015, we were pioneers in creating a highly demanding formulation charter and inventing a healthier, highly natural kind of beauty.

Beyond regulatory bans, this charter excludes several hundred controversial ingredients, whether they are potential endocrine disruptors, skin irritants, or substances that are particularly polluting for the planet. We continue to expand it every year, excluding any ingredient likely to harm health or the environment.

Our formulas, for example, contain no silicones, PEGs, or mineral oils, which have a highly polluting manufacturing process and are hard to biodegrade.

Finally, to design our sun care products, we banned a large number of UV filters in order to offer a range that is more respectful of the oceans.

Short, effective, clinically tested formulas

Our formulas, short and streamlined, have no superfluous ingredients. They are made up of well-dosed ingredients, objectively assessed to ensure the greatest efficacy. The main active ingredients, highlighted on the front of each package, are well known to everyone, reassuring, and recognized for their performance.

We carry out clinical tests under dermatological supervision, as well as tests under ophthalmological supervision for products in contact with the eyes. The Mon Petit La Rosée range is tested under pediatric supervision. These tests are conducted blind, so that each volunteer’s experience is completely objective.

These tests are complemented by dermatological scoring and instrumental tests overseen by expert dermatologists, making it possible to measure the product’s overall efficacy. They allow us to scientifically prove the effectiveness of our products with the help of various measuring devices. This can include measurements of skin hydration, improvement in hair fiber condition, teeth whitening effect, and much more.

Formulas with optimized biodegradability

Our high standards also extend to the selection of easily biodegradable raw materials, in order to minimize the environmental impact of our formulas as much as possible. This subject is essential for La Rosée, since a number of our products are rinsed off and go into wastewater, which, once treated, flows into rivers and oceans. This is our way of ensuring that every beauty gesture respects Nature and our oceans.

The inclusion of upcycled ingredients

Since our participation in the Convention des Entreprises pour le Climat (CEC), our eco-design charter goes even further: all of our new products contain at least one upcycled ingredient.

Incorporating upcycled ingredients means giving value to waste from the food industry by transforming it into a cosmetic active ingredient. This helps reduce the waste of natural resources, cut down on organic waste, and contribute to a more responsible production model.

Tomato and organic cherry oil in our Cleansing Balm, rice starch and apricot oil in our Care Compact Powders, and grapefruit in our Anti-Blemish Cleansing Gel are just a few examples!

Our roadmap on this topic is clear:

• By 2026, one third of our products will contain upcycled ingredients or ingredients from regenerative farming practices.
• By 2030, this will be half of the range.

Formulas not tested on animals

None of our products are tested on animals, in accordance with European regulations. More than 90% of our products are vegan. For certain treatments, we use raw materials from the beehive, such as honey or beeswax, because they have unique nourishing, repairing, and protective properties that no plant-based substitute can yet fully match. We are committed to respecting and protecting bees, essential players in biodiversity.
