Our formulas

Natural origin formulas
The formulas we develop aim to be the most natural without sacrificing the effectiveness or the sensory experience.
The average natural origin content of our range is 98%* in 2025. Over one-third of the products are made with 100% natural origin ingredients.
*excluding sun care range, shower oil, and its refill.
Healthier cosmetics
In 2015, we were among the first French companies to create a strict formulation charter and pioneer a “cleaner” approach to beauty.
Beyond the ingredients already banned by regulations, our charter excludes several hundred controversial ingredients and ingredient families, including potential endocrine disruptors, skin irritants, and particularly polluting substances.
Our formulas, for example, are free from silicones, PEGs, and mineral oils, which have highly polluting manufacturing processes and are difficult to biodegrade.
We continue to enrich this charter every year by excluding any molecule that may harm health or the environment.

Short and effective formulas
Transparency is a core value of La Rosée, and we are committed to explaining to our consumers the role of each ingredient in our products.
Our formulas contain well-dosed active ingredients, without superfluous components.
Limiting the number of ingredients not only allows a higher concentration of effective ingredients for the skin but also helps to reduce the risk of allergies or intolerances as much as possible.
Short formulas also help us reduce our environmental impact by limiting the number of raw materials to extract and transport.
Clinically tested formulas
We conduct clinical tests under dermatological and/or pediatric supervision for the Mon Petit La Rosée range, and under ophthalmological supervision for eye-area products. A dermatologist evaluates product tolerance on a panel of volunteers.
These tests are carried out under normal usage conditions on targeted populations, such as babies or people with sensitive skin. Conducted as blind studies, each volunteer’s feedback on the product is analyzed, resulting in satisfaction percentages.
These evaluations are complemented by dermatological scoring and instrumental tests overseen by expert dermatologists to measure the product’s overall effectiveness. The efficacy of our products is scientifically proven using specialized measuring devices. These may include assessments of skin hydration, improvements in hair fiber condition, teeth whitening effects, and more.
Formulas with optimized biodegradability
Our top priority is to select easily biodegradable ingredients in order to maximize the biodegradability of our formulas.
Biodegradability refers to a product’s ability to break down completely or partially in the environment.
This is essential for La Rosée, as rinse-off products enter wastewater systems. After water treatment, these substances are discharged into rivers and oceans.
Formulas not tested on animals
According to European regulations, we do not conduct any animal testing.
More than 90% of our products are vegan. We make exceptions for a few products that use ingredients derived from beehives.
The integration of upcycled ingredients
Since taking part in the Companies Convention for Climate, our eco-design charter has gone even further: all our 2025 launches were refillable and contained at least one upcycled ingredient.
Incorporating upcycled ingredients means giving new value to by-products from the food industry by transforming them into cosmetic active ingredients. This approach helps limit the use of natural resources, reduce organic waste, and promote a more responsible production model.
The tomato and organic cherry oil in our Cleansing Balm, the rice starch and apricot oil in our Skincare Powders, and the grapefruit extract in our Anti-Blemish Cleansing Gel are just a few examples.
Our roadmap is clear:
- By 2026, one-third of our products will contain upcycled ingredients or ingredients from regenerative farming practices.
- By 2030, that will rise to half of our range.
- Each reformulated product will outperform the previous version, as measured by our life cycle analysis tool.
