For severely compromised skin, apply a thick layer and leave it on overnight to repair the area.
The skin of babies and newborns is particularly dry, reactive, and delicate. The hydrolipidic film, a protective barrier for the skin, is not yet fully formed, and the body’s thermogenesis is not regulated. Their dermis, the thickest layer of the skin, is particularly thin. Their skin is therefore much more permeable than that of adults. It dries easily and reacts strongly to all irritating substances.
The healthy and 100% natural formula of our SOS Balm respects the delicate skin of babies.
Its semi-solid formula turns into oil when applied. It penetrates deep into the epidermis to strengthen it and replenish the lipids. The balance of the hydrolipidic film is restored. It again plays its role as a protective shield for the skin.
The creamy texture forms a protective film with a “bandage effect” that promotes the repair of irritated skin. The vegetable oils and waxes, rich in essential grassy acids are similar to the lipids naturally present in the skin. Those soothe discomfort sensations, attenuate and repair skin irritations.
